OAK LEAF AND ACORNS
an Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Oak Leaf and Acorns'
Oil
4 x 6

I had taken some great pictures of acorns and dried
acorn leaves thinking they would make good paintings,
so I decided to use one of them for my black and white study.
This was so much fun to work on because there were
a lot of subtle shifts in the value changes, and I loved
the shadows that helped pop out the lighter tones.

Great study Claire. I hope to see it in person at some point. I am also looking forward to next month's challenge!
