You never know where your inspiration will come from...
I was in the very long, and very slow line of cars at
the Wendy's Drive-In window in Carlisle waiting to
get some of their GF chili for lunch. As I was getting closer to
my goal, I saw something in the crotch of the tree that grows
right by the curve that gets you closer to where you
can place your order. I had to do a double-take, were those
some small alien ships hovering in the shelter of that tree? No, it
was three delightful fungi that had attached themselves
to the tree and were flourishing - must be the Wendy's chili!

I love these 3 little heads peeking out to look at you, Claire. Great composition.
Great post Claire. I wish I was with you when you took the photo. Deb Kreiger and I found some mushrooms on the way back from delivering the DPP Hanover exhibit. I may post about it.
