WHEN I WAS RESEARCHING MY SUBJECT...THE PUMPKIN FOR THE DPP NOVEMBER CHALLENGE...I CAME ACROSS THE BLUE PUMPKIN. IT IS AN AUSTRALIAN HEIRLOOM, AND WEIGHS 6 - 10 LBS. I LOVE THE LOOK OF THESE...LOOK BELOW AT WHAT THEY CAN LOOK LIKE.

SO, I TOOK THE CHALLENGE (LATE), AND DECIDED TO MIX IT UP SOMEWHAT! THE PAINTING IS A MIXED MEDIA ONE MADE WITH FOUND PAPERS, ACRYLIC PAINTS, GAC, MEDIUMS, GESSO, AND MORE. IT'S AN ABSTRACT WITH 2 BLUE PUMPKINS. I WAS SO TAKEN WITH THE LOOK OF THE BLUE PUMPKIN...GUESS WHAT I AM GROWING IN THE GARDEN NEXT YEAR?

NOVEMBER 2012 DPP CHALLENGE

'PAINT YOUR PUMPKIN'

This is such a busy time of the year, so

this month's challenge is to paint this 

simple photograph of a pumpkin gourd

using your own unique spin.  

Can't wait to see the creative entries!

but anyone is welcome and encouraged to make comments on the posts.

2. Submit your Challenge entry just as you would a regular post - with

a picture of your entry and anything you would like to write about

your experience with this particular challenge. You are welcome to
