INFERNO
An Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Inferno'
Oil on Linen Panel
10 x 8

I was hiking in the woods and came across this area where
the brilliant yellow leaves of a tree were glowing behind
the foreground trees.  It almost looked like a burning fire.

I painted this for the DPP Challenge because it contains
yellow, orange and brown - the three colors
I like the least on my palette...

Great Submission, Claire, to the Challenge!!!
I can relate a dislike for Yellow and Brown on the palette. You did a fine painting!!!

My new like, Claire...the inferno! my problem is, I like the watercolors I use. Come to think of it...there are two I totally avoid. So much I think I'll pass on this challenge and work on two commissions; I want to stay in a good mood. (lol) Thanks for the challenge Sue.

Linda...If you change your mind...
It can be quite interesting as to what comes out.
Good Luck on the commissions, Linda!
Merry Christmas to both of you!

This is a fun challenge. I would never have guessed that you do not like these colors!
