Brush to canvas. That was the only plan. I know nothing about abstracts. While on vacation at our family cabin in Northwestern PA, I worked everyday on plein air landscapes. Near the end of the week, I stayed up until 2am playing with color...and thinking. As I finished a brush stroke, I would pause and let the next part come to me. The paintings "are what they are". Creative freedom.

I think 'creative freedom' expresses abstract art very well, Mary Beth. I love these, and can only imagine how much you must have enjoyed creating these.
